Ipod nano 2g: using without battery [SOLVED]
« on: February 08, 2012, 06:13:28 AM »
The battery of my Ipod nano is broken (it can't be startet without USB connection), but I want to use it connected to a USB-Hub. It works fine with the Apple firmware, but in Rockbox the Ipod will shutdown after about one minute. Even if I turn of the backlight to save energy.
I'd be grateful for your help!

I'm using the stable version 3.10 of Rockbox

If the battery voltage is really low, you'll hit the low power shutdown.  I guess you could change the threshold voltage for that.  You could try changing the shutoff voltage in

firmware / target / arm / s5l8700 / ipodnano2g / powermgmt-nano2g.c

to 0 and see if that prevents it from shutting down.  Not sure if thats all you need.
