removing rockbox from zip clip?

loading firmware... file not found. connect usb. thats what my clip zip reads when i turn it on. i have to reboot again to use the original sansu firware. since im ignorant to developing and managing or creating software... what can i do to use rockbox on the clip zip or remove it? when i try to remove rockbox from the sansu, it bricks the mp3 player and i have to reload the rockbox firmware again. never seen anything like this. i really wanted to use rockbox on the clip zip  :'(

2.5.2  Manual Uninstallation

Copy an unmodified original firmware to your player, and then reboot into the Sandisk firmware.

If you wish to clean up your disk, you may also wish to delete the .rockbox directory and its contents. Turn the Sansa off. Turn the player back on and the original Sansa software will load.

hmmm... i tried to uninstall the rockbox software. didnt work. pretty much locked up the mp3 player. what can i do to make rockbox work on the sansu clip zip? is it a bad bootloader or the rockbox firmware it's self?

From what you've said I don't think you ever actually installed rockbox.  We have install directions here if you want to try:

hmmm... when i turn on the zip it shows a rockbox logo then says firmware not found.... connect usb. you have to hold power button for like 20 seconds then... when it powers off... hit power button then volume level down... then it will go to sansu firmware. you can use the zip like you never downloaded rockbox. but the second it powers off. it will do the same thing again. rockbox logo... please connect usb. weird

You have the bootloader installed, but not rockbox.  You can either follow the uninstall directions I posted above, or the install directions I posted above, depending on what your goal is.

i just want rockbox on the zip. if i cant achieve that goal... then i need to remove it.

You have the bootloader installed, but not rockbox.  You can either follow the uninstall directions I posted above, or the install directions I posted above, depending on what your goal is.

now when i go through rockbox utility and try to download the firmare... it doesnt transfer to the clip zip. how do you boot the clip zip? before... it said updating firware upgrade on the mp3 player but it never utilized the rockbox firmware. weird
