Sansa Clip + Rockbox 3.1.0 playlist creation issues
greatgoogly:
Okay, I've been banging my head against a table for a day trying to figure out how to create a playlist that includes all tracks on my player. I'm not sure of the version I had before, but previously I went to the root directly then went to playlist and "create playlist", which created a "root.m3u" file that was the playlist for everything on the player. After the upgrade to 3.1, the playlist section in the main menu (which claims to still exist in the documentation/wiki page) is missing. I go into "Playlist Catalog" and try to create playlist, but just get a prompt to name the playlist, if I go ahead an name it I just have an empty playlist. This should be one of the simplest things to do on the device so I'd be curious to know what's going on. I've had to restore to using a third party playlist creation tool (used with the player hooked to acomputer) to create the playlist file I want. It would be nice to know how to actually do this on the device.

Rockbox 3.1 is really old. Please update to a recent Rockbox version. Or are you talking about Rockbox 3.10 (the version having three digits doesn't mean it's three numbers ...)
greatgoogly:
3.10 according to this (as well as the Rockbox Utlity installer) is the most recent stable release (dated December 7, 2011) http://www.rockbox.org/download/

I'm well aware of this. However, you are talking about usin Rockbox 3.1.0 which is a different version. So to ask my question again: are you talking about Rockbox 3.1 or 3.10?

sorry for the confusion according to the system info field on my Sansa Clip + I am running version 3.10
