iPod Classic 160 GB 5G?

tags are within the file. Album art can be embedded or maybe a file within the directory. If I did a straight copy from flac to portable device it'll work, keeping album art, but if I do a fresh encode to vorbis I'd need to recopy the jpeg files.

Since my mp3 players don't have colour screens not fussed about album art.

It seems that nobody has answered this specific part already - the word "partial" does not mean you can "only charge the battery partially", but instead that the Rockbox port for the ipod classics is not yet fully functional (for some or other reason) in terms of battery charging.  I have no idea what exactly is incomplete, without doing some digging, but it could be something relatively minor like enabling the ipod to "notice" when a charger has been plugged in, or something else not actually affecting the physical charging of the battery.
