Changing settings causes Rockbox to jump back to beginning of track

Rockbox 3.10 latest final version, Sansa e260

I have several different Rockbox .cfg files which mostly change screen brightness, volume, and channel mix.

When I toggle from one config to another during playback, either by the change settings menu or clicking directly on the .cfg file, Rockbox jumps from its current position in the track back to the track beginning.  This is a problem since most of what I listen to is audiobooks with tracks 30+ minutes long.

Is there a menu setting or config entry which is causing this behavior and which I can undo?

thanks

This shouldn't happen.    I can try to reproduce this behavior later.   Do you observe this on a current build too?  Does playback also restart by changing settings via menus?

--  don't know,  will load latest build tonight and post result.  Behavior is showing on the Dec. 7, 3.10 release.

Does playback also restart by changing settings via menus?
-- When I go to the settings menu/manage settings/browse cfg settings and select a config from there, yes it does restart.

FWIW I just realized that I have my Sansa Fuze v2 in my backpack.  Tried it out and am getting the same behavior.  Rockbox version r31646-120109.

Instead of loading a .cfg with settings stored in it, go through the menus and change the setting that way (e.g. turn crossfade or crossfeed on/off).

Notary Sojac:
Changing settings individually does not restart the track.

It appears that it only happens when accessing a .cfg file.
