Strange occurrence with ipod video...ipod changed back to apple software

I was charging my ipod (with rockbox 3.10) in an outlet (not into a computer's usb) using a usb adapter....AND when I removed it from the wall and turned it back on, the original apple software showed up. It almost made me lose my lunch to see it back. I'm rebooting the rockbox, but I'm wondering if this has ever happened to anybody else before. Any ideas or suggestions? Did I do something wrong along the way?

You probably plugged it in with the hold switch enabled.

Quite possible. It's fixed and back to RB and it's phenomenal. I'm enjoying some Joao Gilberto ripped from vinyl to .flac and it's heaven. I'm still in awe of Rockbox. A massive thank you for this invention.  ;D
