Support for things like this happens when people who are interested in it work on it.

So rather than say "this should have happened long ago" feel free to work on it. It's a volunteer project, so nothing happens until somebody who wants it, does it.

Looking at that web page, it would seem that that mp3 player just has a dsp core with no real CPU so I don't think it's possible to port anything to it.
