[RESOLVED. THANKS ROCKBOX FAM]Problem after installing RockBox on my Sansa Clip+
« on: January 07, 2012, 01:58:25 AM »
okay, how do i manually remove the bootloader?

and no. i am not 100% sure on what this is telling me
http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-sansaclipplus/rockbox-buildch2.html#x4-140002.2.3

i did what it said >_>
i found the original firmware (clppa.bin?)
put it on the player
and sansa updater doesnt do anything. it wont update

okay so i just went through the automated process of the installation and i went for the complete one on my new Sansa Clip + 8 GB

and now heres the problem - i plug it in the computer with the usb cable and nothing happens. my computer doesn't say device connected on anything.

what do i do?

OH AND BY THE WAY , this notification that says "Dir buffer is full" constantly comes up when going through music files

edit

and now its frozen. i  put my 16gb sd chip in it and it has been unresponsive for hours.

You're probably running 3.10 which does not have USB support for your player.  Either update to a newer build with USB, or stick with 3.10 and use the sandisk software for USB.

You can reboot your player by holding the power button.
There are uninstall directions in the manual.

With the firmware you have installed, you need to boot the original firmware if you want to use USB.

You have to hold a button while booting.  The manual can tell you which one.  It's probably Left, but check to make sure.
