Pictureflow on Fuze v1 - changes in 3.10?
(1/1)
Total Eclipse:
Does anyone know whether anything has been changed in pictureflow for the 3.10 rockbox release, potentially with memory allocation?
I've been using RB since 3.7, and generally like to use pictureflow as my preferred method to choose an album.
This usually works fine, however since upgrading to 3.10 I've been getting random crashes when using the right button to open an album in pictureflow.
It always crashes in the same way - the folder animation runs, and at the point that I should see a list of tracks, the screen goes white with an error message like this:
Data abort
at 30054C10
(domain 0, fault 8)
address 0x528782D8
The first address always seems to be the same, though sometimes there's a fifth line to the error:
Data abort
at 30054C10
FSR 0x0
(domain 0, fault 8)
address 0x89DDF788
This doesn't happen with all albums - there doesn't appear to be any pattern to it, however it always seems to be the same albums that cause a crash. I've also had occasional crashes when scrolling through pictureflow, and on one occasion had a vertical strip of pixels showing a random pattern of black and white (hence me wondering whether there's something going on with memory allocation)
I've run chkdsk against the SD card and the internal flash, and it found no errors.
If it helps at all, my Fuze is an 8GB model with a 16GB Lexar SD card installed.
Any help would be appreciated.

30054C10 seems to be in the buflib_free() function. There has been quite a bit of work in that area in the development tree since the 3.10 release. Could you try a current build and see if this happens there as well?

Hi,
I've just tried the latest release and it seems fine.
Thanks for the quick response.
