ipod classic 160gb issue

Hi,
I understand ipod classis port of rockbox is not perfect, but I guess many have tried with it and any tip would be useful for me. The installation runs fine and boot and everything is perfect. When attempting to copy files from my PC to the ipod, it stops midway (both in linux and in windows). I think the device goes into sleep or something similar. Tried playing with settings in the device and also tried to keep the device awake by doing something on the keypad, but to of no avail.

Any tip would be wonderful.
