Using Jukebox 20 with car power.
« on: March 10, 2006, 10:11:45 AM »
I am curious if it is possible to use my Archos Jukebox 20 with the car power adaptor and remove the batteries? IF I have to have the batteries in, can I play my music without it charging? Or does it charge anytime external power is applied?

I really want to save the batteries for other needs and just run off of car power.

I didnt see anything in the FAQ's or the Rockbox manual covering this. :)

Thanks in advance for any advice,
deefish

You can do that by using a stabilizer chip like 7805 (for 1 A), and connecting the output (stabilized 5 V) to the spring connections.

Good luck
