help on YH 820 MP3 player

I don't know if this is the correct place to post this topic but please accept my apologies if not

would anyone here have the above MP3 player as I need to get it back working I formatted the player, in windows xp, but when I try to use the recovery utility to put firmware back it says device not connected but it is as I can see the drive letter for it. if the Recovery Utility says no device connected, how on earth am I suppose to fix it
