Novice in need of Sansa Clip+ help

(1/1)

Jessemj14:
I just purchased a 2 GB Sansa Clip+ with a 32 GB SDHD card.  The manual that came with the player says that it only supports up to a 16 GB SDHD card.  Is this true?

Also,  all my music is downloaded from cd's in AAC format and located in an ITunes library.   Is the player able to play those songs and can I drag and drop from ITunes.  I wouldn't consider myself technically literate so any advice may have to be "dumbed down" for me.

Thanks in advance.

Does this have anything to do with rockbox?

cereal_killer:
Hello JessemJ14,

if you install Rockbox on your clip+, then cards with higher capacity than 16 GB are also supported.

As far as I know Rockbox can play back AAC files just fine, but look that up in the wiki for further information about supported files.

I don't know if you can use iTunes to put music on your rockboxed player, because I don't use that program, but you can drag and drop your music onto the clip+ using any explorer.

I suggest you to check the manual to get more information (http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-sansaclipplus/rockbox-build.html)

Greetings

I run a CLIP+ w/Rockbox and it easily reads & displays content of 32GB MicroSD Cards. I suggest using Class 4 or higher cards. Typical Chinese eBay SD Cards are junk.

If you need a program to test the read/write ability of a card use this test program first:

If it passes the H2testw test it will work fine, if not, keep looking for a card that will.
