[Iriver H300] enabling equalizer results in hissing/white noise

I just got an Iriver H320 and installed the latest rockbox build.
Everything seems to work fine, but as soon I try use the equalizer or a feature, which enables the equlizer,
a loud, continuous white noise starts.

Rockbox without an equalizer doesnt make much sense, right?
Any Ideas, what could be wrong?

To be clear, 3.9.1 is a build from the summer, not the latest rockbox build.

What settings for the EQ?  If you turn up some band crazy high you'll get lots of static.

Ok, I'll try another build in a minute.
But still it seems like a bug.

It doesnt matter, what settings I choose.
Lets say I choose a presetting like "rock" or "jazz", it just starts with the white noise as soon the equalizer gets enabled. There isn't any music in the background or something, its just like if the music stops and the white noise starts.

We have downloads for older builds on the left side of the screen.  I would try 3.9.1 and 3.8 and see if they work any differently for you.

Strange... now it works.
I reinstalled the newest build and went to System Settings to check for the Version.
There is now 3.10 where before was r1166-111207.
