Clip+ won't show up in Windows after Rockbox install
(1/1)
birthdaymonkey:
I just installed Rockbox for the first time. It boots up fine, but when I plug my Clip+ in to my computer it doesn't appear in Windows Explorer. I'm running Win7 64 and I've installed using the Rockbox utility and the .15 and .16 Sansa firmwares. If I boot into the original FW, the device works fine.
Am I just making a noob mistake or is something not working correctly?
gevaerts:
This is expected. Unfortunately rockbox USB support on the clip+ is not stable yet, so it is disabled.
birthdaymonkey:
Thanks for the reply. I guess it was a noob oversight after all.
I've managed to get it to work by turning off the Clip before plugging it into the computer. Then it boots the original FW and I can copy files normally. I assume this is the accepted workaround?
gevaerts:
It is, yes.
