Playing .GBP in Rockbox
« on: November 21, 2011, 09:42:44 PM »
For those of us that had an original Gigabeat with the "World Heritage" folder: What happens to this folder with the Rockbox utility installation? Does Rockbox play ".GBP" files or does it allow us to easily script something similar?

GBPs are those encrypted files generated by the gigabeat right?  I don't think its possible to play those in anything but the gigabeat software.

The native encrypted file extension is .SAT and that is fairly easy to get around with a Gigabeat Dock. The .GBP files are kind of like Macromedia Flash files in that they can be programmed for effects and synchronized to music. If you've ever seen the "World Heritage" demo you would know what I mean  Thanks for trying to help.

Ah then probably not unless they're some permutation of a more common format that we do support.

Here's what I found: the .GBP file extension might be a gBurner.exe creation or some gerber related program file. Anyone have definitive information on how to open and edit these files?
