Having USB troubles with my Archos Jukebox Recoder

That thing has one long name. Anyway, I got a USB 3.0 cable earlier, and it won't work with my Recorder. I'm not sure if it's the device or the cable that's having problems, and it doesn't work on a different computer either. :-\

Do you get any response on the Recorder or computer? For example, does the hard drive on the Recorder spin up, or are any log entries created on the computer?

No response on either. I'm pretty sure the cable is just broken so I'm going to go buy a new one later.
