Sansa fuze V2 freezes
(1/1)
snooze5:
Hello,
I have a Sansa fuze V 2, run with rockbox and the theme Big-Fuze. Everything is wonderful - or nearly everything:
for the second time now (in 3 months) I have the following problem:
- I'm playing a piece and want to move to the next track of the album
- then the player says 'loading' and freezes
- no 'power off' in any combination works - it stays freezed (although after some time -as usual- the screen turns black for energy saving reasons)
-at the first time it suddenly worked again after some hours - and I hope, it will do now the same, but anyhow it's a littlebit disturbingly.
P.S. I think in both times there was a strange phenomenon to be seen immediately before the freezing:
the track I am hearing ceases to give sound, it seems to have about a third of playing time left (according to the graphic) although no music was to be heard.
Then I tried to move forward to the next track, and it freezes saying 'loading' (see above).
Does anybody have an idea:
- how to solve this problem
- how to shut down immediately the sansa fuze (but I think I've tried nearly every possible combination)
Thanks very much in advance!!

Lear:
You can force the player to turn off by pressing the power "button" for 15 seconds.
As for the source problem, I don't think there's anything you can do. I also get these occasional freezes. Probably a bug in the file buffering/playback code in Rockbox.

@ Lear
Thank you for the reply! Is there really nothing one could do? I can't even get it down by pushing the power button - I have to wait until the battery is low and the fuze shut down by this reason. This takes me up to one day of waiting.
greetings

You're probably not holding it long enough.

I want to know if Rockbox had announces USB (HID) support for the Fuze v2? I am looking forward to it.Any idea?
