Problem with Sandisk Sansa Clip+ 8Gb - Keeps resetting to original firmware

(1/1)

rockboxuserclipplus:
Problem with Sandisk Sansa Clip+ 8Gb - Keeps resetting to original firmware.

See above: Everytime I plug in my Clip+ to transfer music-files it keeps resetting to the original firmware upon reboot. What can I do to fix this? Is there a file I need to delete somewhere? (it happens on both Windows 7 and Linux)

saratoga:
This is by design until we get a usb driver for the clip+.

corwin7:
How can I get my clip+ to revert to the original firmware? It's a brick right now with Rockbox as I'm not able to copy music to it.

Edit: I see you asked this question earlier on IRC and were told the information was in the manual.

I've given you a link to the uninstall section, however, I'll leave it as an exercise for you to find the section on temporarily starting the original firmware*, you might find this solves your problem ;)

* Hint: 3.1.3

corwin7:
Awesome, I was able to boot into the original firmware, copy an album over to it, and boot back to Rockbox. Thank you! :)
