Sansa Fuze v2, 8GB issue with firmware
(1/1)
quickvfr:
I upgraded this device's firmware and installed the Rockbox software with fonts, one theme and the games. It worked fine up until about a week ago. Now, when the device is plugged into my computer, it autoboots into the Sandisk firmware and will no longer let me update the Rockbox software. When it is not plugged in, it boots to Rockbox and works fine. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Rockbox software and the Sandisk and Rockbox firmware to the same result. I have had the 4GB, v.1 before and never had any issues with it. It always booted to Rockbox. Not sure what to do here.
As a point of reference, I have tried the newest update software and done updates manually on a Windows and on a Linux machine.
Thanks...

We don't have USB mode working on the Fuze v2. You'll need to use the sandisk firmware for USB.

So for any updates I just have to move the .root directory and it contents onto the Sanza and just ignore it booting the Sandisk firmware when on USB? Too easy. Thanks for your help!
