Clip V2: USB doesn't work at all

(1/1)

Hello. As evident, after installing Rockbox, I have a problem with my Sansa Clip V2 and USB mode. I know that Rockbox doesn't support USB mode for this player, however it should work with the original firmware. When I plug my player in, it boots with the original firmware, but my computer simply doesn't see it. Locking the device and holding the center button while plugging in doesn't help. The computer just won't detect it. I can't even acces the player's menu because whenever I boot it with the original firmware, it says "Connected" all the time and doesn't react to any keys.

I have tried two different USB cables with two different computers. Rockbox itself works OK, but obviously I can't do much with it in the player's current state. What should I do?

To be clear, if you boot the OF without a USB cable connected, it still tries to go into USB mode?

Yes. It just says "connected" no matter what and won't even let me access the menu.

So... Sorry for impatience, but does this mean that there is no hope for my player?
