Problems setting "playlist catalogue directory" in config file
« on: October 30, 2011, 11:53:12 AM »
I created a config file in the .rockbox directory of my players hard drive that contains the line:

playlist catalogue directory: /<microSD1>/Playlists

When I load this config file, there is no error, but it does not appear to to have any impact. I have put other changes into this config file and they load correctly and get merged into the config.cfg file.

Any suggestions? I'm using a SanDisk Clip+ with the latest release firmware (3.8.1).

Have you attempted to set it in the context menu?

Bring up the context menu on the directory you want as the playlist catalogue, select "Playlist Catalogue", and then select "Set As Playlist Catalogue Directory".

That menu option does not appear on my context menu under playlist catalog. I only have view catalog, add to playlist and add to new playlist.

(BTW, I'm on 3.9.1 not 3.8.1)

Close, american spelling...
"playlist catalog directory: /foo/folder"

I'm pretty sure the playlist catalog changes were done after 3.9

Thanks! I copied the text from the manual page. Is the manual wrong or is there some localization going on?

Yyep, manual is wrong, and also a bit irrelevant as 3.10 has the menu item (when it is released)

edit: this has now been fixed
