You can check the file system for errors in Windows, but if you're getting a DMA error that probably means your player is failing.

Thanks, I've checked it and it's OK.
I saw an article somewhere on the site, it says I can get to player's flash memory, but I'll have to disassembly it. Is there any way to get there through Rockbox console or from PC using USB cable, but without opening the device? Maybe 'badblocks' or 'fsck' would help?

That's not going to help. I would just use the Sandisk firmware as long as it's still working.

Damned Windows with its viruses!! >:(
I've manually installed Rockbox onto my Fuze from Linux and now it runs smoothly! Finally!!! ;D
Thank you, guys, for your attention and awesome firmware!
