Hi, I just tried this on my Clip+ and it looks nothing like the picture - just some simple text lines and the default progress bar. I have the font pack installed. Am I missing something else?

Thanks for the heads up. I have a Clip+ and I've just downloaded the .ZIP and retried it. All seems fine.

How did you install the theme? Using the Rockbox Utility (which I haven't actually tried) or by downloading the .zip file? Did you extract all of the .zip file?

If you downloaded the .zip file and you're only seeing the text, then check to see if there's a nOIsE folder inside the 'wps' folder. The nOIsE folder contains 12 bitmaps, which you appear to be missing.

Please let me know how you go.

[EDIT] I also tried it using the Rockbox Utility to install the theme, and that works too.

Thanks for your quick response. I extracted the zip manually but I guess something went wrong. I deleted all the nOIsE related files and installed using the Rockbox Utility.

The theme is working fine now, and is looking great.

Excellent. I'm already working on some minor changes, so keep an eye out for updates. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears.

[EDIT] There is something that I'd really like to add to that theme. So, I'd appreciate some advice. I want to remove the lower PB and add a background pb to the upper progress bar. ie a single 1 pixel high line across the pb width. That way the "nOIsE" moves along the line. Resolved.

I think that would look fine as long as the numerical info (time played, playlist number, time left) are unobstructed. Perhaps release it as a v2 to test?

Also, I just noticed this: when putting the player on, and off of, hold, the "buttons locked"/"buttons unlocked" leaves some pixels leftover after they disappear.

This happens in the uNbaLanCeD theme too, which I just realized was also created by you. Big fan! I was using that theme almost exclusively before switch to nOIsE.

I'll bet you have a Clip+ You don't see those pixels on the V2 (and I assume V1). I've been meaning to ask on here about that, because it bugs the heck out of me too. I'll create a thread about that later tonight. I'd love a fix for that.

As for testing. I suppose I could upload test versions here. I don't really want to Spam the theme board with lots of different versions.

I've always been curious as to just how many people are actually using my theme (themes now). I'm working on a sequel to that one, but that'll probably come out next month.

UPDATED theme to V1.2

I've added a couple of tweaks the this theme. Minor layout adjustments and next track displayed when the last 30 seconds of the existing track is played.

very nice theme, I like it. I also like the idea of letting the nOIsE moving along a line, that reaches all across the pb width.

I'm having a ball and learning a lot. I've just posted one more theme, which is only in Beta (I hate that name, but I've used it now). This one has a proper moving progress bar. Link is in the top post of this thread. Thanks once again.

I noticed, that in the nOIsE wps the icons for the repeat mode and shuffle mode are overlapping on my clipv2. Also the volume bar uses the same position than those icons. Could the volume bar be above those icons and they being next to each other?

I really love the progress bar and how FF and FW is shown in the pULsE wps. But the same goes here for the volume bar and the icons for repeat mode and shuffle mode, except the position of them is in the "upper row" of the two lines next to the clock. I'd like to see the icons in the lower row and the volume bar in the upper row.

Just some things I noticed.

That's what I'm looking for. I'll have a look at that. I'm not sure that I can easily change that around, because of the way I use those areas, for the SLEEP and CHARGING parts. How does this sound?:

- Remove the existing Volume Bar
- Where the Clock is (and FF & RW appear), I add in a VOL
- Make the progress bar turn into a Volume bar using the Same (but hopefully different) Bitmap as the PB
- Separate the Shuffle icon from the Repeat icons and make those always show, if set to active, in the lower portion beside the Clock
