Data abort at 300272F8 FSR 0x8 - Sansa Clip+ & V2

(1/1)

KiwiCam:
I never use the FM Radio, but decided to try it today. I got the following error:

Data abort at 300272F8 FSR 0x8
FSR 0x8
 (domain 0, fault 8) << Thiat's not a smiley but an 8 ) with no space.
address OxEA000056

I'm using Firmware 3.9 on both.

The V2 came out of it when I turned it off, but the Clip+ is stuck in some some of loop. If I press the Shutdown or Select button it restarts Rockbox and I then get this:

No Settings Founf. Autoscan?
Select = Yes
Any Other = No

If if choose Select, it scans and then hits that Error again. Shutdown just goes straight to the error.

I can also see a "Loading Firmware" screen but that disappears too fast for me to read.

I've found that if I plug it into a USB cable connected to my PC, it boots into the Sansa Firmware, but shutting down and restarting just brings me back to the No Settings found. Autoscan? screen.

Any suggestions?

Odd, it works for me, and has worked fine for a long time now.

What version are you running exactly?
What radio chip do you clip+ and clipv2 have (check if it mentions RDA5802 or SI4702 in menu System/Debug/FM radio)
Do you use a custom theme?

Version? Of what? - It's a Clip+ and running 3.9 (What I have done since the first post is reinstall Rockbox but with 3.9.1. To do that I had to use firmware 01.02.13 as the latest wouldn't be accepted by the Rockbox utility.)

What works for you?

I don't know what Radio chip it uses as I can't get out of this loop. ie I can't go into System/Debug/FM to check.

I've been using Rockbox on this Clip+ since I've had it. Yes. I was using a custom theme (my own). I can show the code here if necessary :)

Length 7C134 Checksum Error 30BAEDE Model Name: Cli+ Loading Rockbox (????)

Ah. The FM Radio. I have actually used it in the past, but a very long time ago. I'm an AM kind of guy.
Post Merge: October 14, 2011, 06:16:49 AMNevermind. I've solved it.

I deleted the .rockbox directory and reinstalled Rockbox. It's working now, so that's great.

Hello,

I've had a white screen with a similar error message today: "Data abort at 0003AEE0 (0)"

Hardware: iPod 5th Generation Video 80GB
Software: Rockbox 3.9, upgraded from 3.8.1 two days ago

It happened during normal playback and I don't know how to reproduce the error.
Sorry I'm posting this here instead of the bug tracking system but flyspray won't send any confirmation code email in response to my registration request.

Cheers!
