big disk in JBR20 V1.
(1/1)
jc:
several years ago i put a 250gb drive in my jbr20 v1 & used the build that was originally made available for hdd> 128gb on this page:
http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/BigDisk
All worked well.
a while later the build was updated - 10/11/07.
this build never worked for me so i kept using the old one.
i now want to put this drive into another jbr20 v1 case.
to do this i think (from what i can remember) i need the build complete with the .ajz file as i need to boot from this before i can reflash the player.
i deleted file this from my drive years ago & have since lost the backup i had.
is this old build still available anywhere?
thanks,
jc.

I used the rollback feature of the wiki to recover those links.
They are reported to be old tho so use at your own risk etc etc.
I take no responsibility etc etc.
Here are builds from Dec 30th, 2006 for the various Archos models:

Do new builds not work ? aka, Current builds.
Afaik BigDisk support was added a good while back ?
jc:
thanks,
i'll give those a go.
new builds don't work as they do not support bigdisk.
the only build that does is the one updated on nov 07 on the wiki bigdisk instruction page - well, i say that but that build doesn't actually work as many people on the forum have found.
the previous one to this did work & so it's that one i'm looking for.
thanks again.

the recV1 file you suggested worked perfectly.
big thanks. i never knew you could roll back the wiki like that.
thanks again - now a happy man as i can continue using my player with the 250gb hdd.
