iPod Classic 80 GB: Rockbox freezes on startup

Hello everyone,

I Rockboxed my iPod Classic 80 GB some time ago using iLoader. This worked fine. At some point I updated the firmware, so it used the emcore utility.
As a result I thought I could remove the iLoader folder from my iPod. However, now when I try to boot Rockbox it hangs on the Rockbox logo. emcore boots fine.

I tried to repair the iPod using the UMSBoot option in the emcore tools. (just following the instructions on freemyipod.org).

Anyone any thoughts on how to fix this?
