[Clip+] Backlight on Hold
(1/1)
slappyhaze:
Apologies if this contravenes forum etiquette, as I've already posted this question in the 'Feature Idea' sub-forum. I have reposted my query as I now believe this sub-forum to be the correct place. I searched all forums looking for this problem (searching for clip and clip+) but did not see anything that would help me.
In section 8.4 of the manual for the Clip+ (under the LCD settings section) it mentions a Backlight on Hold function. This does not appear in the menu on the player itself.
My question is: has this feature been removed due the the lack of a real key lock button, and can the 'home+select' keylock be mapped to allow the backlight to be turned off and on when the keys are locked?
If this is a new issue, can you please advise the correct method to raise it on 'Flyspray'?
Many thanks,
Phil

I don't know as I don't own a Clip+, but perhaps the manual is just wrong. The manual text is defined according to various condition checks, so depending on the player the text changes on an automatically way. Perhaps there is some wrong variable on the Clip+ manual build or someone forgot to add a clause check on that part.
You could get on IRC and discuss your problem there, sometimes things said at IRC have more people looking at them than on forums.

Thanks for the reply gbl08ma.
I ask as I also have a (now redundant) Clipv2, this has a working Backlight on Hold function, but it also has a physical hold button!!
Thanks for the point to IRC, i'll have a look.
Phil
