Clip+ wiping library?

(1/1)

Dankturtle:
So I just bought the clip+ loaded rockbox, and was listening to the music @ work for several hours when the entire library (except 3-6 songs) disappeared. When plugged in I can see the the files are still physically (virtually) there, however the clip+ doesn't see them. =( I'd prefer not to have to load the files back on, as the clip+ has a very slow write speed =(.

P.S. Also getting the firmware thing, thanks for the information that a simple restart will bring it back to rockbox.

Under settings you can select "initialize database".  that will erase the current database and then rebuild it from scratch.

Might also be a good idea to check the file system for errors in windows/linux in case theres some file corruption that caused the problem.

Dankturtle:
I initialized it, and it's still the same. It shows the folders, but inside all the folders it's just blank. I did however find out that one of the songs was corrupt, so I'm gonna delete and reload the entire library, hopefully that fixes it.

Llorean:
The "Files" option has nothing to do with the database. Re-initializing it won't change anything. You may have changed the "file view" option in Rockbox, something the manual would've probably helped you with. Reformatting almost certainly wasn't necessary.

Ah if you mean the file menu rather then the database, just change the view settings back to "all".
