Background Color with Text over an Image

(1/1)

JohnDoe:
Hi

I've got a little Problem. I'm writing a theme for my Sansa Fuze.
I want to display a Status Bar when a Song is played. And when not the Status Bar should not be Displayed.

So I conditionaly display a Image or Not. In the Status Bar the Song name should be displayed but the problem is that the background color of the Text is the background image and not the Status Bar image.

Is there a way to say the background color of a text is a fixed value and not the background image? or maybe another workarround for this Problem?

I attached a picture of my problem, because i'm not very good in explaining something.

JdGordon:
there is a long standing issue that text always uses the background image even if a colour is specified so there is not much you can do about it.

wintermute23:
Could you have the background image have a grey strip at the bottom, and then have a viewport with the missing bit of the image, if a song isn't being played?
