Files invisible on macbook OSX
« on: September 22, 2011, 07:13:26 PM »
Sorry if this is the wrong place but this is very frustrating.

I have two CF mod iRiver H120s and am trying to put the version of rockbox from one onto the other but none of the files are showing up in the drive when they're clearly there.  When I download and unzip the version I think I need the subsequent files are still invisible even though the computer knows they're there.  When I try unzipping again it prompts the "these already exist do you want to replace them" window when none of them are visible.

How can I make the files visible?!?

Use the command line, or look up how to show hidden files on your operating system.

Use the command line, or look up how to show hidden files on your operating system.

You can see hidden files through the Finder by entering the following in the Terminal:

Code: [Select]
$ defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
$ killall Finder
