rockboxdev.sh in Cygwin takes very long time

dreamlayers:
Yeah, Cygwin is very slow. Here's a toolchain I compiled a while ago: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16662598/Rockbox/arm-elf-eabi.tar.bz2

Definately. Took me ~6-8 hours under cygwin vs. 15-20 min under Ubuntu (in a VM) on the same machine (1.7 GHz i7).

AgentRev:
Looks like it finished compiling in about 7 hours. Does a full Rockbox compile on Cygwin take a lot of time (say, more than 30 mins)?

P.S.: I added a note on the CrossCompiler wiki page about the script completion time for Cygwin.

torne:
I haven't done it in a while but it takes maybe 20 minutes, if I remember accurately. On the same machine with Linux it takes more like 3 minutes to build (rockbox is tiny compared to the GNU toolchain).

AgentRev:
Took about 5 mins for a full Rockbox compile in Cygwin, with "make -j4". All CPU cores' usage was between 85 and 100% during the compile.
