rockboxdev.sh in Cygwin takes very long time

Hey there,

I followed the steps to install Cygwin on Windows in order to compile an ARM version of Rockbox, however I'm stuck at the rockboxdev.sh part. I started it like 6 hours ago, and it still seems executing, with text flowing normally in the console.

Most lines displayed starts with "/tmp/rbdev-build/build-gcc/[...]", is it possible that I need to try again by restarting the script, or it's normal it takes that long?

cygwin is extremely slow, so depending how old your machine is that might be reasonable.

It's a 3 GHz quad core.

Then it should go faster.

If it's still scrolling different text, it's working. It does take hours and hours on cygwin. Don't use cygwin if you can avoid it; development on linux (even in a virtual machine) is dozens of times faster.
