rockbox crossfeed and eq feature thru ipod video 5g dock connector

I will be hooking up my rockboxed ipod video 5g to a cmoy headphone amp thru the ipod's dock connection not the headphone output. Will the rockbox sound features like the crossfeed and eq settings work thru the doc connector output? I could just use the headphone out to connect to the amp, but I thought the line out connection would be cleaner. I need to know before I order the dock adapter cable if it will work. Any help would be appreciated.

There's no real advantage to the dock connection, but it should work the same as headphone out.

Thanks for your reply. I probably will just use the headphone out. The cable is a few bucks cheaper to boot.
