Any way to disable/bypass/something the idiotic database refresh of the OF?

Well, just got a new Fuze (old one, v2). First thing I did was put Rockbox. Everything's nice except the database refresh that takes forever with +2000 files (on the other hand Rockbox database builder is quick as fuck, awesome . So, topic. I tried turning off the player, but you can't do anything while it's connected to the PC. I found this old thread but it isn't very helpful. So far, the only solution is the hard way, use my old e250 as memory reader and charge the Fuze with a wall charger



Edit: Just thought of something better. Connect, transfer files, "safely remove" Fuze from icon, remove microsd, turn off, push microsd in again, and turn on for Rockbox. Messy, but rather simple, to avoid the imbecile OF . I miss the grand USB functionality of the e250 though
