Clip + OF doesn't work

Hi.
I have a problem with my Clip + 2Gb. I installed Rockbox and it was everything today. When you turn orginal software, mp3 logo hangs on starting (flower?). Any ideas what happened and how to fix it?

Unfortunately does not work. when I turn OF , I get the logo and then goes out like that reset and starts again

Sounds like it crashes before it even gets to the file system then.  I have no idea how to fix that, I don't think I've heard of that problem.

Something I just thought of, could you add the of bin file to the sd card and then copy it in rockbox?  Then when you reboot it should reflash the sandisk firmware.

Rockbox and the memory will work normally (I have a memory card) Please hints how to do this (which file). Thanks for your interest

Hello trikus,

I think saratoga meant to put the *.bin file of the original firmware (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/firmware/clipplus/clipplus01.02.15.zip) on the sd card using a card reader, then put the sd card back into the player, start rockbox and copy the file to the root of the player (see the manual for how to copy and insert files with rockbox and make sure to have file view settings set to "show all") and then restart the player. Then it should perform an firmware update and let the OF hopefully work again.

I think after that you have to reinstall rockbox.

Hope you can get the OF back to life.
