problem with car adapter mode

I am trying to use sansa clip+ in a car. I set car adapter mode on and when I turn off power (disconnect usb cable) player is switching off. after a moment when I turn on power (connect usb cable) player is switching on and rockbox starts playing so everything is ok. but when I wait longer and connect usb cable player is switching on but in standard firmware. is there any other option to set to always start rockbox when player is in car adapter mode and I connect power via usb cable?

Car adapter mode isn't going to work on the Clip+ since it reboots into the Sandisk firmware on USB insert.

I have the same problem, so I was wondering if you can suggest any sort of workaround. This was posted a while ago, and I'm not sure what the developers have been up to. I apologize if you'd rather I have started a new topic, but I didn't want to clutter things up, and my issue is the same.

This has actually been fixed since we don't reboot into the sandisk firmware on USB insert anymore.  If you update the bootloader with rockbox utility car adapter mode should work fine.
