Sansa e280 FLAC playback and other glitch

(1/2) > >>

jaypfunk:
i have the latest RB firmware etc... on my e280

the problem i'm having is that all FLAC files play for the 1st 40 seconds and then go to the next track, then this pattern repeats track to track automatically.

Also when playing any file there's a low "humming" or scratchy sound that is present when a track starts. WTF is that?

i have tried older builds etc but nothing seems to work.

the whole reason i wanted ROCKBOX was to play FLAC files.

any suggestions? do i need to change the sansa firmware possibly?

Which version is that?

I've never heard of this issue, so can you try one of our test files here:

http://download.rockbox.org/test_files/flac_8.flac

(if its not too big for you to download)

Assuming you have an e200v1, thats probably the flash memory.  Reading from it is fairly noisy on the e200v1.

yes it is v1
Post Merge: September 04, 2011, 04:20:41 PMhmmmmmmmmmmmmm the file u gave me plays fine in the root. it seems that flac files in folders do this but not ALL

i've tried others. it could be the flac level causing it. i will compare the ones that work and the ones that don't

thanks for the help

soap:
FLAC is very easy to decode.  It should not be a problem triggered by the encoding level of the FLAC file.

saratoga:
If a flac file doesn't play its probably corrupted. Check it with the flac tools to see if they find any problems.
