Idea for a plugin

I had previously posted an idea for a possible android/Rockbox port but my other interest in Rockbox is that I want to try tinkering with low level stuff and thought this project would be an ideal place to start.

I thought the best way to get to learn how the code works is to attempt to write a plugin. I had an idea of trying a Jewels Quest clone but just noticed that it has already been done. I was wondering if anybody has an idea for a plugin that would be easy to do?

I noticed that forum after I had posted this. Afterwards, it occurred to me, as I am currently learning a language, to try a simple flashcard memory memoriser type plugin but I've found out that this has already been done. I'll have to get up to speed with C first as I've only been programming in Python/VBA recently then I'll have a look through the ideas forum to see if there is anything I can do.
