RaaA WPS, setting_inc and setting_set not working with volume
« on: August 31, 2011, 10:48:30 AM »
it seems that the %T setting_inc and setting_set are not working with volume

it changes the value, but does not apply the volume unless you increase/decrease with the physical volume buttons, at which point it jumps to the current value.

the value and %pv indicators change but the sound level does not.

target in this case is htc g2, not sure if that is relevant to this problem or not.

JDGordon says he has fixed this, i have yet to test on a new build...

Post Merge: September 14, 2011, 10:45:19 PM
FYI I tested this with paulheu's r30500 build and it still doesn't work, sample wps code:

%T(0,0,76,90,setting_set,volume,-33,long_press)

again, this sets the volume to that numerical value, the volume graphical display is updated, BUT, it doesn't modify the audible level until you either increase/decrease with the physical buttons, or slide the touch volume slider on the wps at which point the output level is applied(audibly)

JdGordon said he fixed this after i filed a bug fix but isn't working for me yet, hmm...

fyi, the function of such a thing is to set my volume with a long press to the 'sweet spot' required by my fm transmitter,   instead of long press mute, i want long press -33          (any louder and distortion kicks in due to my transmitter)

ok, try again. r30551 should get setting_set. setting_inc/dec was fixed ages ago

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.

Looking at his thread, his build is at r30500, so r30501 and later are not included.
