Clip+ Rockbox firmware disappearing

I have the same "issue" and yes, powering down and booting again does work : you return to Rockbox.
The fact that the Clip+ is turned on or off when you plug the player doesn't change anything : when you unplug, the Clip+ turns on automatically as if it was the first time you were running it.
Not a major issue, but not too convenient either.

This is intentional so that you can use the Sandisk firmware for USB mode . . .

K cool, thanks for the info !

Actually, have you guys ever thought of a GRUB kind of thing that would allow users, when turning their device on, to choose whether you wanna boot on RockBox or the device's original firmware ?

Don't know what a Grub thing is, but I do know what docs are ;)
From the manual for your unit, available from the left side menu
--- Quote ---3.1.3 Starting the original firmware
Rockbox has a dual-boot feature. To boot into the original firmware, press and hold the Left button while turning on the player.
The player will always boot into the original firmware if it is powered by a USB connection. When Rockbox USB support is officially stable, a new bootloader will be released changing this behavior.

Arf... OK, I'll go read the manual...
Thanks again.
BTW, GRUB is a multiboot for Linux.
