Any chance for a .MLP Codec playback in the future?
Llorean:
What even IS MLP? A quick Google suggests it's a lossless format. If that's the case, you can convert it to another lossless format without losing quality. If it can't be converted (because it's a DRM-laden format or similar) there's also no chance of Rockbox playing it.

MLP is the only lossless compression that can be played back from a Dvd-Audio disc on any Dvd player that supports Dvd-Audio playback.
NO DRM.
Llorean:
Sounds like you could just transcode it to one of the several lossless formats Rockbox supports, then.
The odds of any specific format being supported in the future pretty much depend on the availability of an open source, preferably fixed point, C algorithm for decoding it, and a person willing to adapted it to Rockbox.

Playback is possible thur foobar using foo_input_dvda.dll, so it has been decoded before. Yes its possible to convert MLP to wav then to flac, but that wasn't the question...
