Rockboxing My Sansa Clip+

Hi so i got my Sansa clip+ in the post 2day and wanted to install rockbox but i read on the site that rockbox cant be installed on the V1.02.16A firmware, is their anyway around?  

As i was posting this i was still searching and found the older firmwares 01.02.15 and below, should i try install them before i install rockbox and if it would work how do i install it :S

I really suck at this stuff so thnx for any help and advice any1 can give me!

You probably misread.  Thats not actually true.

Awesome sorry aboout that. I thought this meant it wouldnt work.
Cool so i just Change the MSC Usb mode and start the autoinstall right?

It can't be patched because Sandisk never released a firmware file for it.  So if you install rockbox you'll downgrade the OF to whatever version you install (probably .15).

Cool Thnx for the help installing now downloaded teh 0.15 firmware.
Post Merge: August 15, 2011, 04:19:37 PMRan into a little problem, i dont have a USB Mode and i had songs and playlists on it which i cant view when i plug it into my pc becuase the usb mode is still on MSC.

Any ideas?

Boot the original firmware and use MTP to get that stuff off of your player.  Then return to MSC mode and transfer tracks and everything should be fine.
