Totally unable to get either Cygwin or VMWare rockbox to compile

Thanks - it worked for me, tested by building for Fuze v2.

EDIT:
I tried building the sim and got an error but using make veryclean and reading the docs at http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/UiSimulator should help..
