« on: July 30, 2011, 03:01:42 PM »
Hi my ipod 5.5g 80gb got some water damage the screen and board is fried. My question to anyone is if I buy a used 5.5g model can the hdd be swapped out with the one I have? I would hate to loose my collection of music and my rockbox setup.

Probably, but water causes unpredictable shorting, so there's no guarantee about what components got damaged.  A USB enclosure can help test whether the HD is working.
