H320 Rockbox stuck on USB bootloader
(1/1)
RBrown_123:
Hi
I have a Rockboxed H320 with 64GB Kingspec SSD which has been working fine, then recently when I have tried to use it after not using it for a month, every time I turn it on it goes to the USB bootloader mode. Some other info about it:
- will load the original firmware OK as normal, but this goes to the 'connected mode' after you press play (as if the USB is plugged in)
- when plugging in the DC charger, it will display the charge of the battery twice before going to USB bootloader mode
- works OK in the USB mode as it should when connected to the PC, and when removing the USB and plugging it back in it still connects OK
- have tried reinstalling the bootloader and rockbox to no avail
Interested to know if you guys think this is a software or hardware issue and what you think can be done if anything to solve it

if the OF is going into USB mode with nothing connected it for some reason thinks USB is connected so a hardware issue :(
not much you can do about that, and the h300 bootloader in svn is known to be broken so I cant even suggest hacking the bootloader to ignore usb

Hi RBrown_123 et al.
I have a iRiver H332, with CF 32GB from the time it was the best thing to do... It was a perfect move, battery life is amazing and the jukebox is very light. Not to tell that Rockbox rocks, and I really can't stand the iTunes way of life.
Now, reading the forum, I see that you went to the next step that is SSD memory. Did you solve your issue? How does it feel in term of battery life, etc ?
In the end, could you share some advices and links on how to follow your steps? SSD would be a lot less expensive than big CF (64Gb only recently becomes affordable). Is there a limit in the amount of memory we can upgrade to?
Thanks!
