Clip+ background noise

Hi guys, first of all sorry for my english! 

i have a little problem with my clip+ 8gb.

under rockbox, I noticed that the more you increase the volume the more you hear a noise like a rustle.

under the original firmware this not happen even with the volume set to max..

is a known problem?

What version of rockbox are you running?

i have the latest version 3.9

i haven't a micro sd and i tested 3 different earphones.

i change my question:

is it normal to hear a noise like "shhhhhhhh........" with a fairly high volume with or without music playing?

I put some fixes in yesterday, can you update to the current build (link is on the left side of your screen) and see if they improve anything?

i installed the current build but the noise i noticed are still presents.

maybe i just seem absurd, but i have a question for all clip+ owners:

if you put the volume to maximum (6dB) without music playing of course, can you hear a harsh noise or is completely silent?

If I use high enough sensitivity headphones I hear hiss.  But thats true of all mp3 players, since few have a noise floor below about -90dB.

What you're hearing is the hiss of the interface, for example if you plug in the device to charge you'll hear the battery meter changing frames, or if you plug in the clip+ to the computer you'll hear each frame of the default animation shown.
