Sansa Fuze (V1) locks when transferring files

I have a v1 sansa fuze and been using rockbox since 3.8.1 first came out.I just upgraded to 3.9,did not mess with ''a-n-y'' setting at all,pc is windows vista (latest sp).Whenever i drag and drop folders with mp3s in them(be it 58 mb or 300 mb or 600 mb) it starts to copy but halfway through,the process just freezes,clicking cancel freezes the windows explorer for 10 seconds then cancels it.Even worse,when i go check out my sansa fuze at my computer,it's recognized but when i click on it,shows as empty!? so i disconnect safely,theeeen....device needs a hard reset.So i say ok this has happened once or twice before but guess what? it happened again...5 TIMES each on 3 different usb ports.Uninstalled rockbox,went back to official firmware and it's all normal...

I'd really appreciate it if you guys looked into this cause i need rockbox real bad to scrobble my tracks.(the only reason i use rockbox)

edit - my theme was icatcher,then switched to cabbie v2 and tested it but still happening....So i changed the screen to be always on during plugged in and this is the error i get

 just installed the rb 3.9 and i have the same problem here!

only starting the original fw allows copying files onto the internal memory.

I just updated to Rockbox 3.9 on my Sansa Fuze V1.  Now, regardless of the USB mode I use, when I transfer files, the player locks mid-transfer, requiring a 15-second power switch reset.

I notice that the amount of time the device is plugged into the USB port before the device hangs seems to be fairly consistent.

This behavior is infuriating.  How (other than reverting to the previous version of RockBox) do I take care of this?

I just tried to submit one.  Hopefully I did it right.  Unfortunately, I couldn't tag it to version 3.9 since 3.8.1 or Daily Build were the only options available.

Possibly.  I'll try with my Clip v1.

I have the same issue (also Fuze v1), when transferring from Linux/KDE desktop, so it does not seem to be OS specific, if that may help.

Just boot your Fuze with the official firmware (power + left key) when you want to transfer files.
