FM Tuner for iPod 5.5?

(1/1)

ravital:
Sorry in advance if this has been posted, I did search and found almost nothing.

I use RockBox on an Applie iPod Video (generation 5.5) 80gb and couldn't be happier.  What I'm looking for is a small and portable FM tuner that I could connect to it and control via the RockBox software, as instructed in the user manual.

All I could find so far are the desktop contraptions with large or small speakers.  Does a device exist that simply adds FM tuning capabilities to this player, without speakers?  I've seen the Apple "remote control" device, it's a possibility, but I'm looking for something without wires.

Alternative:  I have a Creative mp3 player with FM tuning built in, and it connects to computers via universal USB (a.k.a. USB "A").  All I found is chargers, which I don't need.  Is there a small adapter in existence, that would connect to Apple's proprietary USB (such as on so many iPods and iPhones) and provides a universal USB IN on the other end?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

According to http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/WebHome?topic=IpodAccessories the iPod Radio Remote from Apple should work.
