Radio broken on Sansa Clip+ after bug, reinstall not working

(1/1)

rockfox:
My first install of Rockbox was done using the Utility, I did use the bootloader and pointed to the bin file for the original Sansa Clip+ firmware.

All was well, until I started playing with the radio and recording settings. An error occurred, and I could no longer use the radio at all. The player would give the error, then reset when I pressed any button.

I uninstalled Rockbox completely usng the Utility, then reinstalled Rockbox using the Utility, but the same problem occurs.

The error is:

Data abort at 30027498
FSR 0x8
(domain 0, fault 8) address 0xEA000056

I'm not sure what to do. The radio worked fine when I first installed it, until the bug happened (looking for the recording). Should I uninstall Rockbox manually?

keyb_gr:
This one's weird.

Normally nuking the .rockbox directory should help.

We did have some changes relating to how the FM radio chip's registers are set up lately (FS#12094), but that shouldn't cause a crash normally.

gevaerts:
Which revision are you using?

rockfox:
Doh! Real life got a hold on me.

I am using 3.8.1, is that the revision? Also, ty both!

bertrik:
I recommend to try the latest release, which is 3.9 at this moment.
